Who we are

Brainstorm Digital was founded in 2000 by Danny Bermant, and has expanded from a one-man web design agency to an internet consultancy of eight, which specialises in growing businesses online. We focus on all the ways in which the internet can help you attract new clients and increase revenue, whether through better design, social media, search engine optimisation, pay-per-click advertising or perhaps even an iphone app.

Danny Bermant, Founder and Director

Danny founded Brainstorm Digital in 2000. His background is in website design and he continues to act as managing director within the business. Over the past 10+ years, Danny has focused the company on ways in which the internet can be used to convert website visitors into customers. In addition to designing websites, usability testing, e-commerce development, e-learning, content management systems, search engine optimisation, social media marketing, pay-per-click advertising and iphone development are all integral to Danny's vision.

Danny's main roles are new business development, running our social media training courses, and ensuring that all work is carried out on time and on budget.

Paul Freedman, Lead Developer

Paul Freedman has 17 years' experience in IT, including the last 14 working in the web environment. Following university, he worked for the Halifax for seven years and was involved in the development of the Halifax online Banking website (https://www.halifax-online.co.uk/). For the following six years he worked for GAME on their ecommerce website (http://www.game.co.uk/) and on their stock and order management systems. Since 2006, he has been working full time on creating and managing websites for SMEs. He currently manages our content management systems as well as our ecommerce sites, and has experience with setting up systems for WorldPay, PayPal and Sagepay.

Richard Herman

Richard Herman, Lead Designer

Richard Herman has been with our team since our inception. He has been designing for over 20 years and his experience goes way beyond the web. Richard can also work on branding, brochures, flyers and packaging. He even designs board games!

Josh Whiten

Josh Whiten, SEO Consultant

Josh is an experienced online marketing consultant specialising in using SEO to improve traffic numbers to your website. His areas of expertise include keyword analysis and search trend research, followed by on page SEO work, including content generation and optimisation. He also handles SEO link building to improve the visibility of websites in search engine results using ethical and proven techniques.

Miriam Shaviv, Copy Writer

Miriam has more than a decade of experience as a journalist and editor in national newspapers. Between 2000-2004 she worked for The Jerusalem Post, Israel's premier English-language newspaper, which has a wide readership in the US and UK. Starting off as a reporter on the business desk, she was soon promoted to senior features writer and then editor of the literary section. After moving to the UK on marriage, she spent five years working for The Jewish Chronicle, where she was chief sub-editor, editor of the letters and comments section, and editor of the foreign section. Between October 2010 and April 2011, she was features editor at the Times Higher Education magazine. She still writes a regular column for the Jewish Chronicle and the Forward newspaper in New York.
